Wallingford Club wins 'Intimate Landscapes’ competition, Feb 2026
On 26 February, Wallingford Photographic Club took part, along with 12 other clubs, in the final competition of ‘ Intimate Landscapes ’. This has been held by Tring and brilliantly chaired by the Chair of Tring, Peter Cox. Chris Upton ‘’Thoresby - The End of the Mine", On-line, Thursday 5th Feb, 2026, 7:30pm
On 5 th February we will be back on-line with guest speaker Chris Upton who will be giving a talk titled, ‘’Thoresby – The End of the Mine". Thoresby Colliery, the last pit in Nottinghamshire, closed in July 2015 bringing to an end over 900 hundred years of mining in the county. Prior to its closure Chris Upton (ARPS & Fujifilm ambassador) spent 9 months documenting the site, the buildings and the people to record the pit in its final days. Link for tickets - https://www.t
