We wanted to take the opportunity to tell you about each of the members of the committee and what they do. If you've got any questions about the club, or suggestions to improve it, then do contact one of the committee members to discuss your ideas either through this website or face to face at one of the regular meetings

Paul Ross - Chairman & Membership Secretary

Paul has been an active member of WPC since 2016. He joined the Committee in 2022 as Membership Secretary and took on the role of Chairman in 2023. Paul's photographic interests include a wide range of genres, with a particular interest in travel and street photography.

Andy King - Programme Secretary

Andy became a member in 2022 after he got a mirrorless camera to expand his hobby of bird watching. He decided to join the club to learn and be amongst people who would inspire, encourage and support him. They’ve done their part – he still has a long way to go in developing his craft. He volunteered to take on the programme secretary role for the 2025/26 season, so he still has a lot to learn about that as well!”

Phil Swarbrick - Treasurer & Publicity

Phil learned far more about photography through the club than from any social networks, websites or books. Whilst he enjoys the technical aspects of photography, he really likes how the club sessions aren't all about the kit, but cover a wide range of styles and techniques. He mostly photograph what he sees while out and about (nature, landscapes, travel, etc)

Rachel Smith - Publicity

Rachel Smith is a retired Headteacher who now works as an Educational Consultant in between traveling and improving her photography skills. She shoots with a Nikon Z6 3 and doesn’t yet have a particular style; she is just happy when things are in focus! Rachel has been learning photography since 2023. She loves travelling with her husband and in recent years has been all over Europe. Her and her husband have spent some months travelling around Chile, Argentina, Patagonia and Costa Rica in the last year to help improve skills and have good times!
