 About the Club

Whether you use a camera or smartphone, you will be made welcome at our club, which has been running since the 1960s. Our members have a wide range of interests, which include; landscapes, architecture, portraiture, travel, still-life, abstracts, aviation, nature and much more.
 

The emphasis is on learning and having fun. We run regular practical evenings coving a variety of subjects from getting going with your camera, editing, portrait photography, macros, studio session and much more.  We regularly invites guest speakers who present and discuss their images on a wide range of topics and our own members often participate in presenting and sharing images in their own areas of interest and expertise.

We also participate in competitions where members are encouraged to enter images for critiquing by an external judge. This is an opportunity to learn from the hints and tips given by an outside expert on both your own and other members’ submissions.

The membership fee entitles you to attend every meeting, enter all the competitions and join any club outings (these may incur external costs).

The club is keen to encourage Junior Members, with a minimum age limit of 14. We require a guardian to accompany anyone from 14 to 16, and will advise all Junior Members under 18 

Joint membership is available for up to two members of a family who share the same address.
