A bit about MailChimp
Some members seem to think that MaiChimp is a website selling something and that by signing up to it they will be bombarded with stuff that they don't want. This is simply NOT the case.
By adopting MailChimp for Newsletters and Club event comms the committee considered all the issues of GDPR compliance plus the issue of those members using BT mail clients not receiving club mails.
The pro's for members over using G-mail are:
There are lots more pro's from the club administration point of view.
Please sign up using this link or via the link on the WPC Website.
If you still have concerns please speak with me at a club evening.
If you don't sign up you will only be able to find club news and newsletters by viewing them on the website

The pro's for members over using G-mail are:
- Fully GDPR compliant.
- No chance of anyones email being shown to everybody.
- Formatted Newsletters, easier to read.
- Only WPC news mails will be sent using MailChimp all other correspondence will be via G-mail

BT Email Account Spam Settings
Basically BT have as part of their email package offering an automatic Spam filter which sits at their end and as such none of these offending emails appear in your inbox.
WPC Gmails and possibly Mailchimp are seen as junk by BT and it’s up to the account user to correct for this by using the following procedure.
If you access your email via btmail, you just need to log into your account and follow points 6 to 10 below.
If you have pointed your BT account to Outlook or other email client you will need to follow from point 1.
1 – Open your WEB browser
2 – Enter the following BT web address https://btmail.bt.com/cp/ps/main/index#mail
3 – To log into your account you need to sign with your BT ID or email address plus your password
4 - It should then say “ BT mail is loading”
5 – You should then be presented with BT Mail Account screen which has an inbox, sent box, Trash box and the Spam Box.
6 – Click on the Spam Box and you should be presented with a list of Spam Emails.
7 – Select the email you deem not to be spam by clicking on the box next to the email in question and a little tick should appear within the box.
8 – The action of ticking a box automatically brings up a new menu above the email in question which has the option of selecting not spam.
9 – Select “not Spam”
10 – You will be presented with another screen to confirm you wish to treat the email in question as not being spam.
This will have the effect of telling BT that you wish to accept mails from the originator.
